Process route
Storage and conditioning → dilution and nutrient adjustment → fermentation → distillation → vinasse treatment

Engineering priorities
Molasses does not need the starch-liquefaction front end used for corn or cassava. Fermentable sugars, ash, salts, viscosity and microbial condition influence the process. Vinasse concentration and possible energy recovery require a site-specific evaluation of composition, scaling, emissions and boiler integration; energy self-sufficiency must be demonstrated by a balance.

Information for preliminary design
Send a representative feedstock analysis, daily and seasonal availability, storage conditions, target product and net production capacity. Include steam pressure, cooling-water temperature, electricity supply, water quality and the planned outlet for residual streams. Multi-feedstock operation requires a defined operating envelope and changeover strategy.
