Commissioning is a sequence of evidence, not a single start button. A clear test plan connects installed equipment, stable operation, measured output and product quality.

Engineering scope

Mechanical completion verifies installation against approved drawings and records outstanding work. Material traceability, inspection records and equipment documentation support that review. Water tests, individual-machine checks and integrated-system trials then establish readiness for feed introduction.

Performance acceptance requires suitable raw material, stable utilities, calibrated meters and an agreed sampling plan. Define the continuous test window, product grades, capacity basis, consumption boundary and treatment of abnormal operation in the technical agreement. Different tests can have different durations; a historic 72-hour example is not a universal rule.

The handover package should include accepted results, as-built drawings, operating procedures, maintenance information, software revisions and operator training records. Resolve remaining items with a named responsibility and closeout record so the plant can move from project work into routine operation.
